Another Spring Garden Tour

I have been outside in the garden taking pictures again. I love Spring when everything is so fresh and green and the flowers are beginning to bloom.  It gets so hot here in the South during the summer months that now is the time to really enjoy being outside. 

 

Our Banksia Rose was covered with white and yellow roses this year. It is surrounded with boxwood and hawthorne, with our rabbit watching over it all.

 
Both Fountains have been cleaned and turned on...love the sound of running water!!

 

 

I don't know the name of this moss, but it comes back every year and is blooming now.

 

The white Amaryllis is in full bloom and the pink and white is just opening.

 

We love the Confederate Jasmine because of the wonderful sweet smell. It is in full bloom right now.

A Purple whirligig or pinwheel in the Garden...it makes me happy.

Spam Comments

I really hate that now I have to moderate comments that are posted on my blog.  Typepad is very good at catching most of the spam that comes into my blog, but the spammers are getting smart and are now slipping through.  It is SO irritating to have this stuff show up; don't these people have anything better to do??

Spring Flowers

My camera fell off the tripod several months ago and sent it off to be fixed.  I finally got it back, so I decided to take a few pictures of Spring flowers.  I missed the azaleas and hate that because they were really beautiful this year.  But, I also have been busy going to Physical Therapy after having knee surgery.  The cold winter we had left some bushes and flowers looking rather dingy this year. The Magnolia Fiscata suffered and my Gardenia bush really looks sad.

Cheshire Cat with Rabbit and Alice

I finally completed my piece for Spooky Time Jingles for the Month of April.  Their marketplace opens at midnight tonight...so go check them out, there will be some wonderful art work.

The Cheshire cat is a 6" figure and his companions are 3" figures...all sculpted from an air dry paper clay and then painted with acrylics and sealed with a matt varnish. This was really a fun piece to do.
